Prudie Davlin Guy Jackson, born in 1877 to John W. Davlin and Melissa Victoria Busby was my great-great grandmother. Her parents lived in Grand Saline, (Van Zandt County) TX. They both died in 1924 and are buried in Starr Cemetery. I have John as being born in Texas in 1951. I am unsure of his parentage. I had thought that his father's name was John W. Davlin born about 1926 to Hugh Patrick Davlin and Abigail Pierce - however, all records I find are for a John P. Davlin who died in Robertson, TX in 1906. Ladonia Donaldson, the supposed wife and mother of John W. Davlin (1851) is a complete mystery. I cannot find her anywhere, nor can I find her linked to John W. or John P. except on unsourced trees. I did find an 1860 census record from Bowie, TX that listed a John W., age 9, along with a John and L. Davlin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
