Rocky A. Detty

CHILLICOTHE: Rocky A. Detty, 60, of Chillicothe, Ohio, died 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born May 5, 1954, in Chillicothe, Ohio (Ross County) to the late Rockford and Alice Withrow Detty.

On May 31, 2014, he married the former Gaynell Bliss who survives.

Also surviving are children, Danielle (Lester) Dunn-Leasure, Roxanne (Jason) Wilson, Roger Detty, Richard Detty, all of Chillicothe and Christopher (Rebecca) Pine, of Circleville, Ohio; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Jennette) Detty, Paul (Amy) Detty, David (Jodie) Gee, all of Chillicothe, Donald Malott, of Florida and Timothy (Sunny) Gee, of Tennessee; sisters, Bobbie Davis, Venita Layne, Melinda Keaton, Mary Grubb and Rebecca (Brian) Penrod; and mother-in-law, Jo Dean Bliss, all of Chillicothe, OH.

He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Detty and a grandson, Christopher Payne.

Friends may call at WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home to help the family.
