We have run across a couple of John Browning's and one of them was married t an Elizabeth Demarest. I'll have to dig again, but from what I remember, he was a Sea Captain, she was of Jean's line and they were married in CT. The other one we found was linked to Barack Obama's mother. Some Genealogist had mistaken the two and placed Obama in the Demarest line. We disproved it very quickly. Seems it's the "in thing" to be descended from a 17th century Huguenot these days...
