Vearl H. Deckard, 85 (nee Hillenburg married Ollen Deckard of Brown County, Indiana)

Vearl H. Deckard passed away on September 15, 2009, surrounded by her sisters at the Bloomington Hospital. She is survived by her son, Ronald E. Deckard, and daughter-in-law, Margaret H. Deckard, both of Bloomington, Indiana. She has 3 sisters, Ruby Fleetwood of Columbus, Marie Fleetwood and Helen Stewart of Bloomington. Nephews and nieces included Erica Payne of Bloomington, Beverly Elkins of Bloomington and Wayne and Dale Fleetwood of Columbus, Linda Reeves and Larry Deckard of Bloomington and Laurie Kubricht of Sealy, Texas. She had many grandnieces and nephews, some of which she helped care for as young babies.

There will be a graveside memorial at 1 p.m. September 26, 2009, at the Robertson Cemetery located in the Charles Deam Forest off Ind. 446.
