I realized that this is an old post. I am a relative of the Deckard family. My Grandmother was Earlie Deckard Nunn. Her father was George Deckard from Buffalo, MO. I too, have been searching family history. I was told by my grandmother that her family came from Germany, but I see that it now part of France.
