I'm not familiar with Louise DeBerry. Was DeBerry her maiden name? My great-grandfather was named Lee and I don't have any info on his siblings. Lee was born and died in Denmark, TN. He was born maybe in the 1850's.

Hi Angel,

I'm also related to the DeBerry surname from Denmark, TN. My grandfather was Lee DeBerry. He did not have a brother named Arthur. My grandfather's dad's name was also Lee. Arthur could possibly be Lee's brother since I don't have any info on Lee, Sr's. siblings.

Would you have any information on the David Dumas Deberry and Laura Byrd Deberry. Their oldest son was my Great Grandfather. He had a a Daughter born 1898. His first wife Annie Kate Tomlinson died in 1899. He remarried and had another family that lived in Tuscaloosa Alabama. I am trying to find information from any living relatives that would have any information about Annie Desma Deberry, Benjamins first daughter. I can not find who raised her after her mother died. She is my Grandmother. If you have any information about that family I would greatly appreciate it.
Desma Hamilton
desma_hamilton@almb.uscourts.gov

I belive Annie Desma Deberry (born 1898) may be the daughter of William R and Joella Deberry. Other siblings could be Robert, Sallie, Myrtle and Sallie. Joella died in 1905 and I believe the younger children were sent to live with relatives. My Grandmother was sent to Alabama. I believe Annie M Deberry may have taken Desma to live with her. I am not sure but I think David and Laura Deberry are the parents of Annie M (born in 1881). If any of these names sound familar I would love to speak to someone. dhamilton52@yahoo.com

I looked on other family trees on Ancestry... looks Mary Angeline was the daughter of a Thomas DeBerry from Platte county, Missouri. There tend to be two DeBerry family groups in Missouri... one centered in Platte County and another in Camden/Pulaski County. The Thomas Deberry mentioned in this thread was a Camden county DeBerry, and therefore not related to Mary Angeline, as far as I can see,

Hi - I'm part of this same line. My great great grandfather, William A. Wood, married Mary Faison. Mary's parents were Britton Faison and Charlotte Wood. Charlotte's father was Archibald. William's father was James H Wood. So....it's actually an indirect connection. And there are actually two James Woods - this James' father was Henry A., his father was Joseph, and Joseph's father was James H, born in 1690. To the best of my knowledge, there are not any Deberrys in my direct line, but maybe on Archibald's side; I have not researched that line yet. Hope this helps.
