I'm looking for any further information on John A. Deane (born c. 1839 in Ireland) and his wife Catherine (maiden name unknown, born c. 1843 in Ireland) who emigrated to the US and by the 1880 census are found in Ellis County, KS, where they raised a family and died (John in 1904, Catherine in 1911).

According to the 1900 census they married in 1863 and emigrated to the US in 1864. Family tradition says that they came from Galway although I've not confirmed that yet through records.

One of their early children was a son Patrick J., b. 1865; according to several censuses he and their other early children were born in Pennsylvania, so presumably they lived there first although I haven't found where yet.

Would be very grateful to correspond with anyone with more information on this line!
