I'm looking for any information on this family. James and Rebecca were married in 1839 and lived at Lakenham. They had 3 children (Walter, Frederick, James) and then Rebecca was convicted and transported to Tasmania, Australia, arriving 1847. James remarried Emily Edgar and went on to have a big family.

In Tasmania, Rebecca had a child, Edward Deans, born about 1847 who was put into an orphanage, not sure who his father is, and I cannot find any birth record. She later had an illegitimate child called Annie in 1850. Rebecca applied to marry a Peter Miller and was denied and later married James Howes. She died in 1852 at Cascades Female Convict Factory.
