Could your marriage of John S. to Anne J. Donaldson be a second marriage. The census states that John S. is 56 and Anne J. is 28. The child Mary is 13, and several of the Donaldson siblings are living with this couple. The line is not mine but that of a close friend of mine. I've been trying to help her find some family.

The child Mary married a William Dunlap

Yes, it was a second marriage. His first wife's name I believe was Eliza. I don't know if she died or if they were divorced. If you have any more info than that I would love to hear from you. Especially if you know anything about Anna or her sisters who were living with her and John. There names were Sarah, Emma (Emerell) and the census says "Blastin" but I don't think that was her name. Thanks alot!

Dear Pam,

I had heard of a distant relative of my Dad's (Joan Bagnall) that a Pam Daw was writing a book of Daw history? Would that be you? My name was Deborah Daw and Worthy Daw born 1902 was my grandfather. He came out to Australia with his wife and died in 1973. His father was Arthur Henry and his grandfather was also called Worthy. Apparently Arthur was promised by his father that if he named his son after him (Worthy) he would inherit the family fortune (never happened!!!) according to my nana (Worthy's wife). Anyway, i would love to hear from you. Debbie
