I found in a newspaper article dated 24 June 1939 (New Orleans Times Picayune) abt the 50th wedding anniver of Frances B Coe and her husband Ethelred Stafford, a remark made by Frances that she is a cousin of Jefferson Davis. Frances is the daughter of Jefferson Coe and Sallie Flowers. They lived in both Louisiana and Mississippi. Has anyone connected these names to Jefferson Davis.
