Hi Don,
Thanks for the information. I am still trying to locate records to explain the age difference and whether or not the same Michael marries Ann Robertson c. 1783, from which our family comes from. I have no doubt that a Michael married Celia Tharpe(Thorpe) 20 Jan. 1807 in Mason Co., KY. If he was born in 1763, a first marriage at the age of 44 seemings highly unlikely. This is the mystery: is it the same Michael, and what happened to the previous family? I have tried to imagine a senario, but so far nothing comes to mind. The obvious suggests that they are two different persons, but the records seem to differ-their offsprings seem to show up in the same regions and with common kin. It is a true mystery.
I know the feeling of wearyness that comes with age, take care, Eddy
