Hi,

Looking for information on the children of Montague William Darling (b. 1819 St John, New Brunswick, Canada - d. 1901 in South Africa) and Margaret Sinclair. Montague had been a Deputy Commissary General, Army. Margaret was the daughter of Hudson's Bay Company Chief Factor, William Sinclair II and his wife Mary Wadin McKay. Margaret's grandmother, Marguerite Waden McKay McLoughlin was married to HBC Chief Factor Dr John McLoughlin.

Montague & Margaret were married at the HBC Post at Norway House in 1848.

Known children are:
(i) Grace E.J.M. Darling - b. abt 1860 in Castries, St Lucia, West Indies
(ii) Arthur Manners Montague Darling - b. Mar 1857 in Lewisham (London), Kent, England
(iii) Ralph Montagne Sinclair Darling - b. Sep 1859 in Lewisham (London), Kent, England

Found Ralph in the 1881 census as a 22 yr old soldier in the Colchester Barracks, St Giles, Essex.
