I am the great-great granddaughter of Lizzie Macon. Lizzie and Romulus had a son named Eugene Macon. His daughter, Gay Dean Millstid was my grandmother. She just recently passed away. Because of Lizzie's bloodline, I receive the tribal benefits and have that connection. I have searched high and low for more info on her life so would be so grateful to learn any additional information that anyone may have. I have contacted the tribal historical society but they have also hit a wall with records. I do know that Lizzie had an older sister who facilitated the adoption once their parents were both killed in an accident...but I'll have to dig back up the paperwork to get more names for everyone.
