I am wondering if anyone has any idea what happened to William Daniel, s/o of David who was the s/o Woodson Daniel. William was born about 1797 in North Carolina. That fits with the birth date and place of my gg-grandfather, William. My William is found in Humphreys, Tennessee in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 census. He then is found with his wife, Jane (Haney), and his children, David C., Susannah, Amanda C., John, and Louisa in Griggs, Van Buren County, Arkansas in 1850. I have never found him or any of his children (except for David, who went back to Tennessee) in the 1860 census. Jane died in 1859 and William married Phoebe Headricks in White County, Arkansas in 1862 and they had one son. William died in Dec, 1865 in White County, Arkansas. I have land deeds for William in Humphreys, Tennessee, Van Buren (now Cleburne County) and White County, Arkansas. Hope someone can please help me with this brick wall concerning my William. I can't seem to get past him.
