This reply is a little late but I have recently gotten back into my genealogy and I am updating my website with information I put into a book for my family a few years ago. I will be getting to Isham and Mary Borders in a couple of weeks.

Clayton Cox wrote a well respected book called Appalachia Crossroads some time ago. He lists the children for Isham and Mary starting with John born about 1810, Katherine "Katy" Daniel born about 1822 as the 5th child and the last child, number 10, Wyatt A. Daniel born about 1836. My ancestor, Peter Daniel at number 9 was born about 1833. Clayton Cox says Mary Borders was born about 1796 so her age at the birth of her last child would be about 37. We know that Isham and Mary married on 15 Aug 1809.

We also know that Isham Daniel died before 25 July 1848 as there is a deed disposing of a track of land he had per Clayton Cox.

The 1850 census lists Mary as a widow and head of the household. Two of her children are still at home, Peter and Wyatt who happen to be the youngest children.

I don't think Isham Daniel had a second wife.
