I found, at one time, a family tree that connect Hannibal Hamlin to Abigail Dane and Francis Fulkner. I bookmarked the link but it got lost when my compter crashed. Does any one know how they is related?

I also read a quote of his stating that he was related to Abigail and Francis. They were his ancestors and there was something about the witch trials. Of course, I didn't make a hard copy so it too was lost in the crash.

Anyway, today I discover something that not many people may know. If I can figure out the Faulkner/Dane connection to Hamlin then I can prove Hannibal is a cousin to Amos Nourse. Amos is GG grandchild of Abigail and Francis. Amos is also the man who took over Hamlin's U.S. Senate seat when he resigned from it.

Small world isn't it...

Amos's line goes like this: Abigail Dane m. Francis Faulkner; Dorothy Faulkner m. Samuel Nurse II; Samuel Nurse III m. Elizabeth Kellogg; Jonathan Nourse m. Ruth Barrett; Amos Nourse m. Lucy M. ???.

There's a small biography on Nourse on "The Biographical Directory of the Unites States Congress" which helped me find most of the most of the census records and other information about him on Ancestry. There is a bio on Hamlin, too.
