Hi Debbie, I got the book 2 days ago. It is VERY informative and clears up a great deal of confusion. In it he discusses the ship "Le Beaumont" and an Olivier Daigre that was on this ship that brought the displaced Acadians BACK to Louisiana from France after the inital expulsion. The ship landed in New Orleans Aug 19, 1785. Many are confused that this is the same Olivier Daigre born in 1643 in France. But he would have been 142 years old then.
