Doris, very good searching!!! You are right. The name is "Olivier" in all 4 cases however. The book, LOUISIANA's FRENCH HERITAGE by Truman Stacey, on page 149, tells of the specific families on Le Beaumont. It lists Olivier Daigre as being the head of his family and then says how many are in his family. For Olivier Daigre it says (9), and that he is a carpenter.Le Beaumont was a newly constructed ship. She weighed anchor on June 11,1785 and crossed the Atlantic in 70 days. Landed in New Orleans August 19, 1785 with 2 deaths and some sickness on board. This was the swiftest voyage of all the Acadian expeditions.
