I'm working on my Dace line and I can't figure out how John M Dace and Ellen Crump in St Francois County, Missouri fit in. It looks like James S Dace on their 1860 census record may be Samuel Dace, youngest son of Dennis Dace and Sarah Elizabeth Palmer. John M is too old to be one of Dennis's children, but I can't seem to make him one of Dennis's brother's either. I couldn't fit him into Harmon's family and the only place left is the son Dennis Dace and Massey Robins, but census records don't support that either. Does anyone know how this works?
