My great grandparents lived in Areia Larga, Madalena Pico Azores. She was Ana do Ceu (1868-1940) and married to my great grandfather. Antonio Joaquim Goncalves Medeiros, who was a boat builder and whalter/fisherman. His nickname that we all have inherited is, Xatinha. My great grandmother, Ana do Ceu was raised in Cedros Faial by Ana de Gloria, who raised her as her own daughter. Ana do Ceu was apparently the granddaughter of one of the Dabney Consul.
