Hi. I am hoping you can help me with my research. I am working on Elijah Dabbs family tree. He is my 4th great grandfather. Elijah's daughter Ophilia Dabbs married William A. Hughes. Ophilia's daughter Alma Hughes married John Thomas Cole. Their daughter Erscell Cole married Arnold Sylvester Sitzes. The only thing that I know about Elijah H. Dabbs is that he was married to Mary A. Both of them were born in South Carolina. On Elijah's 1880 Census he states that his mother was born in South Carolina and that his father was born in Virginia. I also know that Elijah's son Jesse Hocet (Hockett) had a son by the name of James Hockett Dabbs. I am assuming that we are related. My Elijah Dabbs moved to Itawamba, Shannon, Lee, Co. Mississippi around 1839. I have the will of Elijah H. & Mary A. Dabbs. What I need from you if you have it is all the information starting with Elijah and going back.
