Kim,

I would be more than happy to give you any information that I have about the Czuhanich/Prislupsky side of the family. But to be totally honest with you I have been working on it for over a year and haven't been able to dig up all that much. Please e-mail me at birdiegal5@aol.com and I will fill you in with what I have.
Talk to you soon.

Hi Lorraine:

Your Peter is listed on the ship's manifest directly under my grandfather, Mihaly (Mike) Mihalko. I believe that your Mike is the Mihaly two above my grandfather. Obviously they were from the same family. My grandfather's mother was Helen Prislubsky, but clearly the father was not Michael Czuhanich; I think his name may have been Vassily. There must have been two Helen Prsilubskys...likely and quite annoying. I have not pursued information from Ukraine yet because of the difficulty. My grandfather was from Domafalva (Domashyn) and my grandmother, Marya Lupusanek was from Stavne, just across the river and only about 5 miles away. Stavne was a little larger town. Marya came in Dec. 1912. They married in Binghamton May 4, 1914. They soon moved to Endicott and stayed there the rest of their lives.

Has anyone been able to move their research forward on these surnames? Prislypski, Mihalko?

Hi,
I just entered my Great Aunt's wedding information and found this page. My Great Aunt was Helen Mihalko, daughter of Michael Mihalko and Anna Vorobel who married John Mihalko, son of Basil Mihalko and Helen Kichak, Married September 12, 1908 in Binghamton, New York. Both John and Helen were born in Domasina, Ungvar, Austia-Hungary in 1886/1887. My mother is Julia Andrascik, maiden name Mihalko. Her mother was Anna Prislupski from Austria and her father was Michael Mihalko. I don't know if this is the same family line, but it may be. My grandparents Michael and Anna Mihalko lived in Endicott, New York.
