Hi Nursedawn,
I'm trying to determine the immigration, death dates and any related information you and your extended family may have relative to my GGF & GGM, who would be the GGGF & GGGM of your husband Gerald. I have the following info:
1. John (Czmar) Smar, bd 25 Jun 1851 in Gulyvesz, Slovakia. Over the years I have been unable to locate any records of his immigration, life or death in our country.
2. Mary (Czmar) Smar, maiden name Maria (Lesko) Yusko, bd 1856/1863, Gulyvesz, Slovakia. Immigrated to USA April 1913 via Baltimore to Detroit. In 1930 lived as a widow with her daughter Katie & Louis Androyna in Detroit. By 1940 was no longer with the Androynas, probably had died. Any Michigan record of this?
3. My question is did John Czmar die in Slovakia, never having immigrated? Did Mary Smar arrive a widow, or before/after John?
Did John die in USA (Detroit), if so, when?
Did Mary Smar die in Detroit, if so, when?
I would be most appreciative if any of your family could help me find answers to these questions.

Yes, I did find Sosgyulvesz, which coincides with Dulova Ves on modern maps. And the village was within Saros megye. So the latest information confirms prior findings.
Thank you for your help.
