I've found Mary's brother Jacob in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses. He is listed in the 1910 census in the same household as my great grandfather Stanislaus Wrobel. I believe Jacob's wife Mary was a sister to Stanislaus. Any more information would be helpful. You can email me at steve (at) iguanafish (dot) net (please don't use the email provided in my information, it is a public library).

My maiden name was Mary Czekala, but I was born in 1973. I also have an Aunt Mary, but she would have been born in the 1940's. I wonder if I am related to the person you are looking for?

In 1914 Mary and Jacob Czekala moved to Summit, and from 1915 to 1918 he operated a dairy on 61st Pl., where they made their home, 7537- 61st Pl. Later he went to work at Armour and Co. as a carpenter and remained until his death in 1942. Mrs. Czekala died about 1963. The Czekalas had eight children.

In 1928 Stanley Wrobel and wife Catherine lived at 7319 61st st. Summit/Argo. He was a carpenter.

Hope this helps

Hi,
My 10 year old son, J. Coleman Czekala, has a school project in which he needs to have a family crest or coat of arms. We are finding them all over the internet but do not wish to pay $16 for them. We really only need to see it to copy it for his poster. Does anyone know where we may just see one for this purpose, please? Thank you!
**Also, for any interested parties, my father-in-law is Bob Czekala (no middle name). His mother's name was Flo and he was born in Chicago in the 1940's and now resides in N. Ga.
