Trying to track my ancestry; new at this!
I am searching for any Czechowski's on the East Coast. Probably in Bayonne, New Jersey. My grandparents were Polish immigrants; my father, Walter Czechowski, was first generation in this Country. He had two brothers, Cashimir and Anthony. My grandmother's name was Catherine Czechowski, and her maiden name was Lukaziewicz. My father died at age 81 in 1996. If there is anyone out there who could be of help, please drop me a line. Looking forward to hearing from you!

My husband's grandmother was Frances Czechowski, born in Buffalo, NY 9/28/1894. Her parents were Michael Czechowski and Constance Chuda. We think she had a sister Mary, another sister who was a nun at St. John Gualbert Villa Maria in Cheektowaga, NY, a brother Frank and A brother Louie. The only picture the family has of Michael Constance was taken in Wisconsin.
Frances married Stephen Wasielewski in Buffalo and had two children, Henry Francis and Florence.
Any connections?

Re: Czechowski, Buffalo NY
My great-grandparents Peter Czechowski and Agneiska Gielarowska were from Poland. They resided in Blackstone, Massachusetts and changed their last name to Charlska. I know they had a niece named Mary Frodymo who taught at St. Camillus Academy, Sisters of Divine Providence, Corbin, KY. and later transfered to a School in Providence Rhode Island in 1927. Any Relations??

Re: Czechowski, Buffalo NY
My mother was a Wasielewski and according to some notes she gave me. Her grandparents were Michael Czechowski and Constance. I'm not sure what Constance's maiden name was, but I think we may have a pretty good match with what you have written. My Mother's father was John (would have been a child of Michael and Constance. We lived in Buffalo. Please respond

Re: Czechowski, Buffalo NY
I think this may be a match, too. When was John Czechowski born? My husband's grandmother Frances, daughter of Michael & Constance Czechowski, was born in 1894. Just want to see if we are in the same time frame. I don't have a John as one of her siblings, but my information is somewhat sketchy! The only picture of Michael & Constance that the family has was taken in Wisconsin - Milwaukee, I think. Maybe that will shed some light. Please reply. It would be great to find a new cousin!

Re: Czechowski, Buffalo NY
I think your Grandma Frances and my materal grandmother were the ones that were sisters Her name was Anna. Anna was born June 26, 1888 died in child birth on June 21, 1914 at the age of 26. Anna was born in Buffalo. Her parents were Michael and Constance. According to my Mom's notes Constance died at age 68 on May 7, 1926. She said the birth record would probably be in Poland (Poznan) Anna married John Wasielewski. She was his first wife, I remember visiting your Grandma and Grandpa on Ridge Park Ave. in Buffalo. They had a son Henry and a daughter Florence. Yes, it would be great to find a long lost relative. Please respond

Hi not sure this pertains to you but my husband's dad's name was Raymond Czechowski and his parents were Katherine and Anthony Czechowski. Katherine and Anthony came over from Poland and settled in New York somewhere. They had 3 kids, Kazimierz, Stephen and Raymond (they may have had a fourth child named Francis who died. Let me know if any of that helps. Jen
