I'm trying to learn a little more about my families history and maybe meet a few lost relatives. My grand father was Joesph S Czach.

Hello,

My name is Marianna, my mother's maiden name is Czach (Elzbieta) and she was born in Rzeszow to Anna (Maiden Name: Mical) and Edward Czach. I was wondering whether there any any connection.

I am a decendant of Thomas Czach, who was one of five:

Jerry Czach
Thomas Czach
Michael Czach (b. 1882)
Magdalena Czach
Anna Czach

From what I understand, the two girls stayed in Poland to work the farm near Swilcza called "Kamyszyn". All three sons came to the US via Pennsylvania, where at least Thomas worked in a Coal mine before leaving to South Chicago to work for the Illinois Central Railroad.

Haven's found an Edward as a direct relative yet, but given the birth year around the turn of the 1900's, it would make him around the same age as my grandmother (Thomas's daughter). Could Edward be the son of Jerry Czach?

My uncle is a Frank Czach but he's American and born in the States. He lives in upstate NY. Don't know if that helps.

Hello Marianna
My name is Elaine Mical Maxwell. My grandfather Joseph Mical immigrated in 1909 from Rzeszow. He was born in 1878. I believe he may have had a sister Anna.
