Do you have any information on Eileen Koczela (nee Cyr) daughter of Aldei and Vina Cyr. I am not sure if she is still alive. If she is, you don't have to provide any information. If she has passed away, could you provide me details. I am a descendent of Dolphis Cyr, Aldei's father.

Thank you.

Surnames: Cyr, Bassett, Basset, , Thibodeau, Thibedeau
My great grandfather Peter Bassett married Rosa (Rosalie) Tibodeau/Thibeadeu. Peter and Rosa were married in June, 17, 1867. Rosa was born in April 1851, died in Dec. 1933. Per the Faribault County MN 1900 Census, both Peter's and Rosa'a mom and dad were born in Canada. Rosa's parents were Oliver Thibeadeau and Maria :Louise Cyr. I don't have exacts on their births but it would have been in the 1810's. I have a Bassett relative that has done extensive research on the family and will reach out to them to fill in some gaps. I know I have some Thibedeau relatives in Colorado and Nevada

Pete, Mabe you can help. My cousin passed on a family album to me and I have been researching the Cyr family trying to establish a solid link to Louis Cyr who by family word of mouth is related to us. My great grandfather was John B. Cyr. I'm trying to establish that he is a brother to Louis.
From 1880 census Pierre and Philomine father to Louis) had children living with them in Lowell; Malvina, Noe, Alphonsine, Pierre, Odile, John (age 11 in 1880 and possibly my grandfather), Olvine, Hermaine Leon, and Napoleon.
That's where I loose track. My grandfather, John B. Cyr worked for the B&M railroad out in Mechanicville NY. I have yet to find any listing of his middle name but his birth date 1868 and a mention that he claimed to be from Massachusetts makes me think he is referring to Lowell. In a 1900 census he claimed to be from Canada but in 1910 claimed Massachusetts and that's where he is listed as John B. Cyr Jr. (the only mention of being a jr., which makes no sense.) you can contact me thru email carlbbiker@yahoo.com Carl
