Does anyone out there know of the Cypress from Cape charles VA. I started to trace my heritage and link back to the seminole tribe

Hello Donna,
I'm just beginning a search of my father's history.We only know of his intermediate family and would love to know who the rest of us are. I do not know of any relatives in South Carolina. However, I am extremely curious being that the name is fairly rare. Any answers?

as you see my surname is Zypress and i would know more about its history. I come from Germany. My father was born in Berlin/Germany. we can only follow the history of the name till 1880 cause of the burning of the church books because of the world war II.
Can you help me or we can match our results

Surnames: cypress
Are you cousin Donna Cliff Cypresses daughter? Yes they are in cape charles, Surry County and Mecklenburg County. Listed as free malattos as far back as 1830. I am trying to prove they are Indian.
