A fellow researcher just e-mailed me information regarding CYPHERTs in Wyoming. Thay came from Clarion, and Elk City Pennslyvania to WY. Names such as: Ray Hermoine Cyphert born June 25, 1887 and married O'neil and then Mamie Beryl Cyphert, bor February 12, 1890 and also, Albert Reid Cyphert, born January 09, 1893 in Dallas as the others. Virginia Rae Cyphert and David Wyman born in Lander, WY. Any connections? Also I give the researchers name if helpful to both. Thanks and take care. Sarah

Don't know if my husband has been in contact with you or not. His grandfather was David Wayman Cyphert. Great grandfather Albert Cyphert and Esther Beer. David was born in Lander Wyoming. I knoe there are reunions held fairly regularly. Albert comes from the Phillip Cyphert (Seifert) line and the family was around the Clarion County Penn. for several generations. E-mail my husband at david.grawrock@intel.com and he will let you know of the connections on the people named in your query.

Hi-

I would appreciate any research/information you can give me regarding the Speedwell, especially any passenger lists, ports of departure and arrival around 1650.

I am trying to trace my GGGGGGGFJohn Partridge (m Magdalene Bullard) back to England. He apparently sailed from British Isles to New England, US ABT 1650 on perhaps the Speedwell.

He, his Brother William and Sister Margaret (Margery) Partridge could have arrived in ports of Boston, Salisbury or Lynn, Mass, US; Hartford, Conn, US, etc.

“Though their exact arrival date and port cannot be found, there is in the archives of Conneticut (sic US) a will of Adam Beebe who died aboard an unnamed ship (sic possibly the Speedwell) to America. This will, evidently written while sailing, has the signatures of William and John Partridge as witnesses. These signatures match those found in the record's of Medfield, Mass, US.“ -- Partridgenest.com

The exact port from which they sailed or arrived is unknown.
Prior to the sailing. however, history had them as residing in:
1) Bethnal Greene, Middlesex, Eng (Partridgenest.com) as well as possibly :
2) Northhamptonshire and/or
3) Navistock Eng

Thank you so much,

Dr. Bob Partridge d0cb0b@verizon.net
