I am a direct descendant of Stephen Aaron Douglas cyphers and, of course, his mother, Mary Fulton, and his father, Paul cyphers, I am seekin documentation that Paul cyphers was the son of Jacob Paul Powell cyphers and Hannah Campbell

Thanks for your reply. I have no documentation at all concerning Paul and Stephen's grandparents. I keep hoping someone related to this family will have it.

Stephen was stephen Aaron Douglas cyphers. He had a son, Paul, who was my grandfather. Stephen went by the nam "SAD"and Doug. His father was Paul Cyphers. these people and my mother, born Marjorie Cyphers, are buried in BrownCounty,Kansas. Stephen's father was Paul. his grandparents were Jacob Paul Powell Cyphers and Hannah Campbell. Hannah was the daughter of McDonald Campbell. He was a twice wounded soldier in the American Revolution. DAR verify and recognize that he was a veteran and that his daughter is Hannah and that her husband was Paul. Records establish that this Paul was born around 1788 and did cica 1850. Records establish that she also was born circa 1788 and died in 1873. Both are buried in Morrow County,Ohio. I am trying to get my daughters DAR membership. My mother told me of the family traditions lookin back to Hannah. But I haven't been able to document the connection between Paul and Hannah and their son Paul. The younger Paul died inKansas onMay 11, 1895. Kansas issued kno death certificates before 1911. So i have no certificate saying Paul's mom was Hannah. what is your connection?

Great to hear back from you with information I didn't really have previously. All my Cyphers information came from a Great Aunt who died in 2005 so it was sketchy at best. I knew that SAD had married Lena Fanning and that they appeared of had 5 children. More information would be wonderful. You can private email me at goddesshippo@gmail.com if you want to share more.

As to my connection to that branch of the family tree. I come out of Hannah Rettie Cyphers who would have been my great great Grandmother. I'd be happy to give you more information via email.

If you ever want to find Paul and Mary's graves (along with a few other Cyphers) they are in the Ununda Cemetery in Robinson, Kansas.
