Ronald Glen Cypher,
son of Madeline and the late Eugene Cypher,
went to his eternal home on May 12, 2012.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1957, in Erie.pa.
Ron was a resident of Fredericksburg, Va. He was employed at Nova Waste/Potomac Landfill. He graduated from Harborcreek High School and Erie County Technical School in 1975. As a younger man he was deeply involved in the school band boyscouts, he also enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter for Brookside. In his spare time he deeply loved being an outdoorsman through hunting, fishing and camping with family friends. Ron was also a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Erie. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene whom he shared his birthday. Survivors include two sons, Corey Cypher of Parsippany, N.J. Ronald "Kyle" Cypher of Fredericksburg, Va., and one daughter Kimberly Stevens of Richmond, Va., two grandchildren Hailey and Abbigayle (Kimberly). He is also survived by his mother Madeline Cypher, a sister Deborah Hackett and a brother Eugene "Rick" Cypher, all of Erie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank all of the numerous friends and hospice workers who through prayer and visits, brightened his spirit and his final months. Memorial services will be held in Erie at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church on May 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the family or a donation me made in the Cypher Family name to Mary Washington Hospice.
