Hello Sandi: I am trying to do research on my grandparents' family. I am
thinking that there is maybe a connection between Stanley Lachowicz/Katherine
Cybulski and my side. Although the last names are spelled differently, here are
the possible connections: Your "Katherina Cybulski": I had an aunt, named
Katerzyna (Katherine) Lachawiec who was born in Phila around 1917. She married
a USN sailor named Philip Cybulski during WW II. So there is a connection: Your
Lachowicz/Cybulski and my Lachawiec/Cybulski, although a generation apart!
Maybe my grandparents named Aunt Kay after your Katherina? Could be they were
relatives/friends in Krasne, Austria/Russia with the Cybulski family? Maybe
that is how my Aunt Kay and Uncle Phil Cybulski got together? My grandparents
also had a son named John Joseph Lachawiec, born around 1919 or so.
Additionally, my Aunt Kay, who passed away in 1997, told me that she had
traveled to Poland in 1970s or 1980s and had met cousins and also mentioned

that we had cousins in Greece! If so, maybe my Aunt Kay met your folks in
Poland? I will try to get more details...if you think this line of reasoning
is possible, please advise. Joe

I agree. We have too many things that ring true. I can't help but believe we are related somewhere along the way. Hopefully, I'll recover fairly soon from my surgery and then I can send you a copy of the "family tree" I got from my Aunt and Uncle Ed (Lachowicz) who went to Poland 20 years or so ago. I don't know if anyone else went with them or not. So let me know what you find out.
