Your Cybulskis

Bardzo mi milo- I'm very pleased to meet you

It is entirely within the realms of probability that our lines our related, and it is feasible that I could place your line somehow.

As you've probably read in teh other messages on the board, the Cybulskis originated around Gruta and neighboring Prussian Poland. What you need to first find out is your most distant ancestor. Or, you may want to find the immigration/naturalization papers of your immigrant ancestor(s) and find both where they immigrated to and where they emigrated from. From there, I can determine whether you are a close family.

My family immigrated to Baltimore, MD around 1860 as one of the first 10 Polish families in Baltimore. They originated in Gruta, Poland.

You may have ancestors who came from Warsaw or Bialystock, both of which have large Cybulski concentrations.

I am not a Cybulski but my grandmother's sister
Anntoinette, (Tessie is what we used to call her) did marry
a Edward Cybulski. They lived in Irving, NY, or Sunset Bay,
which you would probably know that area if you live in Dunkirk.
They had a son, Jerry, and a daughter, Ruth. Edward was
born March 10, 1907 and died February 1986.
Anntoinette was born December 29, 1913 and died May 1987.
Jerry now lives in Ontario, Canada. Ruth died December of '99.
She married Edward Chudy. I don't know if Edward Cybulski
had any brothers or sisters, but I could ask my family.
I hope this helps. I'd like to know if there is any relation.

Hi -
I am a Cybulski, too. My father was William V. Cybulski from Buffalo. He was an only child who passed away March 5, 2000 at the age of 74. His father was also William. We have seven kids in our family. My father had relatives (cousins) in Depew, NY. One cousin was a priest, Father Frank Cybulski. I'm not sure of any other relatives besides his cousins. I don't believe there is any relation between our two Cybulski's, but you never know.

Jacqueline,

I am seeking to find out more information about my ancestors as well. I know that my great-great-grandfather, John Cybulski had four children: three boys (Stanley, Joseph, and Casimer (Casimer is my great-grandfather)) and one daughter(Pearl). I have no information about Stanley and Joseph, however I have some information that shows Pearl and Casimer coming over from Poland in the late 1800's. They spent time in Texas and in New York. Pearl (whose married name is Nieswiadomy) had three children in Dunkirk during the early 1900's. I wonder if Stanley or Joseph spent time in Dunkirk? Are you aware of any relatives by that name? Hope this helps.

Reilly,

After reading a few of your messages it seems that you are well acquainted with the Cybulski name. I am looking for additional information about my great-great-grandfather, John Cybulski, who was supposedly born in a village just outside of Poznan, Poland somewhere between 1845-1850. He married Agnes Mikowajczak, who was also born in the same village. Where is Gruta, Poland in relation to Poznan? Is it possible that my ancestors are tied into those you mention come from Gruta? Thanks for any help you might offer.

Tim
