Searching for information on the Cwiklinski tree. So far, I have Nick Cwiklinski born in 1818 in Germany/Poland. The only known children are Joseph, Augustina Konopacki and Mrs. Albert Modrzynski.
The death certificate of Augustina lists Nick Cwiklinski as her father. Her obit says: Mrs. Augustina Konopacki, who came to Portage county from her native home, Poland, more than forty years ago, locating on a farm in the town of Sharon, where she lived until the death of her husband, John Konopacki, 27 years ago, passed away at 7:50 Wednesday evening at the home of a son, Franik B. Konopacki, 345 Franklin Street. The deceased would have been 76 years of age on the 26th of next August. Death resulted from paralysis, following a short illness. The family includes another son and two daughters, Stanley Konopacki and Mrs. Stacia Zoborowski of this city and Mrs. Victor Konopacki of Nekoosa. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's church at 8:30 Saturday morning, with interment in Guardian Angel cemetery. (July 7, 1927, Stevens Point Daily Journal)
I found Joseph Cwiklinski on the 1900 census for Sharon, Portage County, WI. Also listed is his wife, Francis; children, Helena, Josephine and Peter; and his father, Nick. Also found the Joseph's family in 1920 in Sharon. His two daughters and father are not listed.
Joseph's obit states: Joseph Cwiklinski, a farmer who resided for many years in the town of Alban, died at his home Friday morning at 8:45 o'clock. Mr. Cwiklinski had been an invalid since last fall, suffering with heart trouble and dropsy. He was born in Poland 62 years ago and emigrated to America when a young boy, locating at Pittsburg, PA, which was his home for 20 years. The family then came to Portage county and settled on a farm in Alban. Surviving are the widow, one son, Peter and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Jagla of Rosholt and Mrs. Charles Hoppa of Bevent. One sister of the deceased, Mrs. Augusta Konopacki, lives in this city and another sister, Mrs. Albert Modrzynski, is a resident of Pittsburg. (April 26, 1922, Stevens Point Gazette)
(A social security application for Peter Cwiklinski shows him to be the son of Joseph Cwiklinski and Frances Szram.)
