here is what is funny about this reply. My mom is Barbara and my dad is John Cwikla. So the person who replied to you and said that there isn't too many "Cwikla" people around... There is alot in Connecticut. I too am trying to put together a family tree. Any information you have would be of great help.

Just browsing through and found the message about Joseph Cwikla that Vanessa replied to in 2000. My grandfather was Joseph Cwikla (but he did not have a brother named John - only an Uncle), he lived just south of Owen Wisconsin - near Troy Cwikla who also has posted messages on this board. Joseph died in 1994. I've done a lot of research on our family. If anyone is interested in getting our information together, let me know. wolfe@qia.net is my emai

Hi Mike. I think you might have talked to my cousin Don a few years ago. For awhile I had been talking to your dad (I think) Frank Cwikla in Adams Friendship about our possible family tree but we lost touch. Email me at wolfe@qia.net if you are still interested in pursuing the Cwikla family history.

Patty,
Are you my cousin Patty Cox? I would be your Uncle Frank's daughter - number 4 in the line of 8 children. My husband and I are just getting started in searching out family tree.

I don't have much info for you yet - but if you are my cousin - I'll let you know whatever I can find out.

Surnames: Cwikla, Dutko, Klubko
My grandmother was a Cwikla living in South Western Poland (Galicia). She married a Dutko. Her parents were Cwikla/Klubko. I've been told that part of the family immigrated to the U.S. and primarily to Connecticutt. I too am working on the family tree and would like to hear from anyone who may have any information.

I have found out that my great grandmother, Kostyna Marya Dzialo was the daughter of Wojciech Dzialo and Marya Cwikla. I believe Kostyna emigrated from Poland and first settled in CT -- #80 Potter Street to be specific. No relatives found there! However, just a few doors away at #84 Potter Street is a Thomas Cwikla. I believe he may be her cousin. Do these names sound familiar?

No, these names don't sound at all familiar. Do you know the name of the town in Poland that Kostyna immigrated from?
