(With apologies for the inelegant format - I don't seem to be able to get this to add a carriage return, line feed!)-------------------------------
The marriage is registered DQ 1912 in Kingston district of William H. Tarling to Esther or Ether G. Cuyner (sic). Lower case y and z look similar in the writing of the time and Cuyner is a very rare surname. Do you have a copy of that marriage certificate - it should give Esther's age (although it might just say 'of full age' or similar).-----------------
Esther G. Tarling's death was registered SQ 1966 in Chichester and her age was given as 75. That would imply she was born 15 Sep 1890 to 14 Sep 1891. There is no obvious matching birth of an Esther G. Cuzner - even allowing a couple of years either side. --------------------
The Cuzner's are a bit elusive - I can't see an obvious death for William Cuzner in 1924 - are you sure of the surname? There's a William E. Cuzner who married SQ 1895 Croydon and one possible spouse is an Emma Selina Kelsey. It looks to me as if William Herbert Tarling's birth was registered St George Hanover Square JQ 1893. So I guess his will be the death of William Herbert Tarling registered MQ 1980 Portsmouth - his date of birth was given as 28 Mar 1893; so we might expect his spouse to have been born around the same time. --------------------------------
Aaah checking for Esther Cuzner's of about the same age gets me to the 1901 census at RG13/444/93/26:
Stephen Cuzner Head M 37 Anti-friction metal smelter, Paddington; -----
Emily M. Wife 37 Westminster; -----
Walter S. Son 14 Packer Cream Swiss milk Co, Lambeth; -----
Stephen A. Son 12; -----
Esther G. Daur 10; -----
Sydney S. Son 8; -----
Victor I. Son 6 ----- Battersea;
Violet A. Daur 11Mo; ----------------------
So SQ 1886 births bring us to Walter Stephen Cuzner in Lambeth district; and MQ 1889 births include Stephen Arthur W. Cuzner in Lambeth district. There's a marriage of a Stephen Cuzner MQ 1885 in Lambeth district and one possible spouse is an Emily Maude Stanhope - bingo! I can't see that family in the 1891 census.------------------
Violet Adelaide Cuzner's birth was registered JQ 1900 Wandsworth district; Sydney Stanhope Cuzner MQ 1893 Lambeth is a certainty; and Victor Ivor Cuzner JQ 1895 Wandsworth almost completes the story------------------
And so finally to the birth of Esther Gertrude Cuz_er MQ 1891 Lambeth; volume 1d page 382. And back through the birth of Emily Maud Stanhope in Westminster district MQ 1864 etc., I'll leave you to fill in the details.------------------
