Just trying to trace the origin of the Cuyle surname. I am in WA state and I can go back as far as my dad(Clifford), my grandpa(Lawrence), and my great grandpa (Edgar). Edgar lived in the Enumclaw area and we used to have family picnics at Pete's Pool by the baseball stadium. Does anyone have info back further than that? Debbie djl659@aol.com Thanks.

Saw your reply regarding the Cuyle surname, and am interested in corresponding with you. Noble Cuyle is the brother of my husband's ancestor, Almond D. Cuyle.

I'm trying to gather information about the Cuyles who went to Washington (well, any Cuyles at all, of course), and I'd be very happy to share with you the information I have on the Cuyle family.

While Noble and Sally lived in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, they had a son, George W. He was born 21 January 1851 and died 27 September 1851. He is buried in the Mosherville Cemetery in Bradford County.

The information I have on Noble and Sally shows sons James Henry, George W., and Lewis, and a daughter, Elva Marie. Sally's death certificate shows that she was the parent of five children, of whom two are living. Henry, George and Lewis pre-deceased her, so Ida must be the fifth child. I have no information on her.

the info about Almond & Geo W is new to us. We know nothing about Noble's family or his country of origin. We'd be very interested in anything you have. Ida marrried a Barnes and had 3 children. Lewis had 2 children. Elva married a Snapp & had 10. James Henry (from whom my husband decends) had 7. Just let us know if you are looking for particular info about Wash. Cuyles we're in touch with most.

In my travels, I see family photos lost in antique stores.
I think this is sad and I feel a sense of obligation to
try and return them to their rightful families.
So, I have set up this website to do just that.
All of the photos I buy have names and
dates or places on them.

Recently I acquired a photograph
of mary Cuyle from Stanhope, Iowa.
The photo was taken in Jewel, Iowa,
of a middle age woman in the late 1800s.

Is this your Mary?

Sorry its been awhile since getting back to geneology. From what i gather: noble was james henry's dad & james henry had 7 kids with edgar being one? To my knowledge edgar (i cant remember his wifes name. I want to say clara but not sure), had 4 kids: Art (married Gay), Wilfred (married Vivian & had 4 kids i think; Kenny, Richard & Janice & 1 died from muscular dystrophy), Lawrence (my g'father married Helen Boatman & had 1 son Cliff my dad), & Alice (married Bill Murray & they had 2 sons i think. Tommy (my age) & the other slips my mind). Wilfred & Lawrence lived in the Yakima area. Art & Alice lived somewhere around Seattle i think. Its been a very many years since our family got together in Enumclaw at Petes Pool. I remember Edgar coming to stay with Lawrence for a week or two at a time until he passed away in 1972. I remember driving over White Pass (I think it was wintertime, cuz there was lots & lots of snow). Lawrence died in 1975 from stomach cancer & Cliff died in 1990 from heart attack. I am not able to spend a lot of time searching because of work and kids, but I would love to see a tree. My name is Debbie (Cuyle) and my email is DJL659@fairpoint.net
