I am helping a friend find more about her family history. Her husband is descended from an Anna Cuvellier born about 1831 in Louisiana. She married a Jules Poree'. Are you familiar with these names?

Jules Poree of New Orleans, La is my grandfather.
His son, my dad, Albert Poree, is a twin also born in New Orleans, My dad was born in 1904.

I have been researching the Cuvelier family that came into the US in 1845 by way of Rochester, NY. But I believe there maybe a connection, if we could ever get back to some of the Holland and France connections. I have info back into the 1700's, but have not been able to tie the LA family to the NY family. There are many Annas in my family live generations back...Hope to hear from you... Sue

Hi, I just saw your listing and you say you have a book?
What book? Please tell me where your Cuvelier's are from? Mine are from Snelleghem, West Flanders, Belgium.
Hope to hear from you.

Hi, I just read your listing. I am a Cuvelier descendant. My Cuvelier's came from Snelleghem, Belgium. Where were yours from? I certainly would be interested in the book if it pertains to my family. Another family member had gone to Belgium and did a lot of research, so we have it quite far back. Please let me know.
