This is my family. I am looking for family of deceased's mother Mary Archer. I found more of the Cusack family thru using censuses. The deceased was called Nellie by her daughter Elena, BVM. Sr. Elena and I spent hours trying to find our connection. We knew we were cousins. Nellie Norkett is the name on her tomb stone.
Nellie was born in Menomonee, Waukesha, Wisconsin. Her parents were John Cusack and Mary Archer. The town name was changed to Menomonee Falls after WI required no town names be repeated or so similar as to cause confusion. The Cusack family was very large. Some of the family used the spelling Cusick. Some censuses list name as starting with a K. I found an IL death record on Ancestry for a Henry Cusack son of John Cusack and Mary Archer who was born in Menomonee Falls, WI. Nellie's also said Menomonee Falls. No censuses listed a Henry but they did have a Patrick. My known Archer relatives start with Patrick Henry Archer marrying Ellen Lonergan whose mother was Mary Quirk. Patrick Henry Archer Jr. was my father's godfather. My father was given the middle name Henry for PHA. Mary Quirk Lonergan, her brother Thomas Quirk and 3 Cusacks are buried in St. James RC Church Cemetery in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin which has its list of dead on the Internet. The Archers are buried in Milwaukee in either Holy Cross or Calvary Cemeteries. Their records can be found at
www.cemeteries.org Most if not all of Nellie's parents' families were from Co. Tipperary Ireland.
