Bridget's father was Blayney Callanan from Kinsale Co Cork. His father was Daniel Calllanan Esq. Blayney was a landowner in Kinsale but left Cork for the Springfield area in Mass, in the late 1840s or early 50s. He had a lot of children. I was told that Tim was a mason but later bought a Mortuary in Boston or that area..

Jim, I don't know if you recieved my previous message because I got an error message when I submitted it. I think I have a picture of Timothy, our great-grandfather. Was ther a Virginia in your family? My grandmother, Mary Curnane Kelley was Jim's sister, and my Aunt Mabel was also his sister. My son, who is 11 is dying to know what professional baseball team your grandfather was on. I remember my aunt and grandmother had a pin he had won. I have no idea where it is. Please E-Mail me at Sasse2u2@aol.com. Thanks
Chris Kelley-Joseph
Timothy and Bridget Curnane

Hello: I am James Francis Curnane, III. My Grandfather was James Francis Curnane Sr. I understand that my great grandfather was Timothy and was married to Bridget. I have been told by my father that Bridget was first cousin to John L. Sullivan (this country's first world champion boxer- bare knuckle). I believe my father's cousins run a funeral parlor in Everett, MA. I believe it is still open to this day. I would love to hear from any relatives. My family ended up in New Haven, CT when my grandfather took a job with the New Haven Railroad in the 40's. He was a professional baseball player in the minor league for a while. Any pictures would be nice if anyone had any. Thanks Jim

He was born Walter Edward Curnane in Everett, MA in 1890 to Bridget (Callanan) and Timothy Curnane.
My grandfather left MA at a young age and moved to CA--don't know much about his family.
