I am searching for information on my gggrandfather in
Scotland. What I know so far is that he was married to
Janet Coulter, she died sometime before 1860. They had
four son's that I know of Robert, Matthew, Thomas and John.
This information came from Roberts marriage certificate
to Margaret Swan, in 1860 Kilwinning. It has John listed
as a pawnbroker. Robert and his family came to U.S. but
John remained in Scotland. I found him on the 1871 census
living with a Samuel Ewing and family. John was born in
Ireland about 1806. Please help
