I'm trying to find the parents of Julia Cummins b. abt. 1800, probably in Jackson Co, (West) Virginia or Meigs Co. Ohio, and her husband John Smith, b. abt. 1789, probably same location. They married in Meigs Co. in 1819 and lived in Jackson Co. for the rest of their lives, both buried in the Douglass Cemetery near Millwood.

Two of John and Julia's daughters married brothers named Moffitt: Priscilla Harriett Smith m. George W. Moffitt, and Lavina Smith married Andrew J. Moffitt. Another Moffitt brother, Thomas, married a Sarah E. Cummins, daughter of a George Cummins. All of this happened in the same counties, so I'm sure my Julia and this George are connected somehow, and investigating this might be the path to finding her parents. Can anyone help with this?
