JACKSONVILLE - Catherine "Kay" Helen Kelly Cully, 91, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Barton W. Stone Christian Home.

She was born Feb. 16, 1914, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Lewis and Grace Cannon Kelly. She married John Hackman Cully in 1936 in Jacksonville; he died in 1987.

Mrs. Cully graduated from MacMurray College. She taught at North Oak Ridge school in rural Morgan County for two years, operated a kindergarten in her home for 10 years and retired as a kindergarten teacher from Washington Elementary School in 1975.

She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church and member of American Association of University Women, Passavant Hospital Auxiliary, Morgan County Garden Club, Morgan County Homemakers Extension and Tri-County Retired Teacher's Association. She was a volunteer visitor at Barton W. Stone Christian Home for several years.

Survivors: son, John Richard (wife, Linda) Cully of Bloomington; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Cody & Son Memorial Home, Jacksonville. Burial: Diamond Grove Cemetery, Jacksonville.
