Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
My G. Grandmother was Tharsile Cuillerier & their Family changed it to Spooner when they came to the U.S. It is Cuillerier 90% of the time in Quebec Records. I am also descended from Rene Cuillerier, the first one to come to the U.S. His Father was Julien in France.

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
Thank you for clearing that up for me Darlene. My husband also is a decendant of Rene Cuillerier. I'm pretty close to having all the dates from julien on down. What all do you have?

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
c Good:
I have all the Marrige dtes of my Direct Ancestors from Julien on down to Pierre Cuillerier. Then I go to Tharsile Cuillerier, his daughter. By the way Both Peter & Mary Spooner (Cuillerier) died here in Cheboygan & are buried in the Catholic Cemetery here.
How does your husband's line come down from Julien? I'd like to add his line to my Base in my FTM File. Is there anything I can help you with. By the way my Pierre Cuillerier was only married once to Marie-Desanges Lazure-Azure & they both died here.

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
Julien Cuillerier (the correct spelling), son of Michel Cuillerier and Guillemine Faifeu, married Julienne Piau. These facts were unearthed by a French genealogist, Jean-Marie Germe. The Cullerier name was incorrectly spelled as such by priests or administrators. Rene Cuillerier dis not give the right information on his papers, believing his mother's name to be Faifeu. He could have been raised by his grandmother, but this is just conjecture. Roger Currier

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
We are descended from Julian and Julia Cuillerier. I traced our family history back to Rene and followed it down to our current family. It would be interesting to see if there is some relationship between our families. If you are interested in following through please respond.
Thank you ,
Jean

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
Roger:
This does NOT agree with anything I've uncovered including at Fort Wayne. Or anyone from Quebec that's done research on the name.
Darlene T. Holling The name was spelled so many different ways in the Churches I've read from Quebec that it is hard to figure what is right. It depends what church & what branch of the Family.

Re: Julian Cullerier or Cuillerier
Sorry Marie, but the info listed is all I have concerning Rene's parents and grandparents. I would nevertheless like to know how you connect with the Cuillerier line, so that I can put it into the date base that I am building at the moment.
