Surnames: Cugnetto, Scalise, Guzzo, Orlando
I am searching for information about my great grandparents and their families from Nicastro. Filomena Cugnetto b 1887 and Antonio Scalise b 1886 married in Italy in 1903. He went to Pittsburgh, PA, USA sometime and she followed in 1907 arriving in NY. On the manifest, she mentions her father as Guarmo (hard to read) Cugnetto. She was traveling with Paolo Giuseppe Orlando and he mentioned Antonio Guzzo as his brother in law that he was meeting in Pittsburgh. Antonio Scalise and Filomena Cugnetto had 7 children: Frank b, Rose (my grandmother), Mary, Angeline, Frances, and Joseph- all in USA. Filomena died sometime between 1923 and 1929. They resided in Hays, Pittsburgh. Antonio worked for Harbson Walker, a brick yard. If you have any information about them, please contact me. I would love to know more about their families in Italy.

I recently discovered some new information about Filomena Cugnetto b 1888, Nicastro, d 1925, Pittsburgh, PA. Her father's name was Gennaro and her mother was Mary Calanzaro. As far as I can tell, they both remained in Italy. My sister traveled to Nicastro this past Spring and found Cugnetto on the WW1 and WW2 war memorials in town. It is unclear how they are related.
She also had relatives named Molinaro, Sherbo, Muraca, some who had immigrated to US and lived near her. I still need the missing info to know exactly how they are related.
If you can add to my information, please contact me. Thanks.
