Hanora Cudahy-Cuddihy-Cuddehy/Luke Farrell WI MI IRE
Our family search has stopped at Luke Farrell who married Hanora Cudahy (name listed on my info) Cuddehy listed in 1870 Census or it could be Cuddahy, Cuddihy in Ironwood, MI in 1858. Both were born in Ireland but we don't know where.
Their children were all born in Ripon, WI and were: John E. born 1857 married Julia Collins in 1884 Richard Merle born 1859 married Mary Agnes Conway in 1892, Mary born 1862 James H. born 1865 married Mary Regan in 1899 Ellen "Nellie" born 1867 married Michael E. Maloney in 1893.
Luke and Hanora last address was 217 Vaughn St, Ironwood MI. Both died and are believed buried there.
I've also seen her name spelled Honora so it's very difficult to attempt much of a search. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Curently researching a Honora CUDDIHY, sister of Richard born abt 1810 who married Johanna WELSH and had 5 chn. They lived Garryduff Templeorum Parish Kilkenny Ireland. Believe Honora married a Michael TOVEY and also lived in Templeorum. One known son Richard TOVEY migrated to Aust on the ship 'Invincible' with his cousin Andrew CUDDIHY(1835-1920). Andrew later married Elizabeth 'Eliza' CARROLL 5 May 1862 in Melbourne. They settled in Kyneton and had 5 children. Their son Andrew Francais is my ggggFather. Cheers

Re: Hanora Cudahy-Cuddihy-Cuddehy/Luke Farrell WI MI IRE
Hello, I have previously corresponded with someone re the Tovey/Cuddihy line but this looks like a new post. I believe that I am a descendent of Hanora Cuddihy and Michael Tovey. Would it be possible to compare notes.

Re: Hanora Cudahy-Cuddihy-Cuddehy/Luke Farrell WI MI IRE
Hi While I was born Albany WAust 1950 I know my CUDDIHY family has a direct descendency link to the original C14th Garryduff CUDDIHY farm (Owning Piltown IRELAND). Richard COODIE 1674-1721's grave remains in their local OWNING church even though several churches burnt down on the site over the centuries. Church, land, census and family records were used to link this Richard to Andrew CUDDIHY who emigrated to Kyneton Aust. Andrew 1835-1920 was 3rd child of Richard b cir 1800 & Johanna CUDDIHY nee WELSH married 3Feb1823. Richard's sister Honora married Michael TOVEY and had a son named Richard who emigrated with our Andrew. The ruins of the TOVEY family farm were still visible in Templeorum County Kilkenny in the late 1990s. God parents names in christening records are peppered with these MALONE & CARROLL names over the centuries. See 1901 & 1911 census for Garryduff Templearum Parish: Owning PoorLaw Carrick-on-Suir.

Re: Hanora Cudahy-Cuddihy-Cuddehy/Luke Farrell WI MI IRE
My late mother was a Malone from Garryduff and was related to the Cuddihy`s through her mother`s family (Nolan`s) as far as I am aware.
Going back a couple of generations, there was more than one Malone family in Garryduff (living side by side) but they were not related to each other.
I think the Malone name died out in the other family.
Don`t know about any Carroll`s.
If you let me know the Malone`s who stood as Godparents (and when), I may be able to clarify as to whether they are my family.
