Any relation to Giovanni Cuccia, Frank Cuccia or Concetta Cuccia Manfre? They came from a nearby town - Baucina, Sicily? Their parents names may have been Salvatore and Mary Cuccia about the time of the mid to late 1800's.

Thank you for your message. I do not have my history that far back. My Cuccia grandparents came from a small town in Sicily and immigrated to NY in the early 1900's, probably 1903. The names you mentioned are not familiar. Do you know the names of the 4 children?

Their four children were Carmelo, Josephine,
Joseph and my father, Mariano. Carmelo married Lucy Governale, Joseph married Jennie De Rosa, Josephine married Alfred LoCascio and Mariano married Anna Calantrino.
Hope this helps == if you need anything else please contact me....

my relatives that were cuccia came from baucina, sicily in the early 1900's. My great gandfathers (my mother's parents were cousins) were Giovanni Cuccia and Frank Cuccia. They had a sister, Concetta Cuccia and she married Pasquale Manfre. I believe their parents were Salvatore and Mary. Sound familiar? Write back.

what was your grandmother's name? My mother, Mary Cuccia came from a big family and the time line sounds right. They all lived in the lower east side of manhattan. Some live in Queens.

I'm interested in your Cuccia that married the Manfre. My grandmother was a Manfre and her father was Giuseppe Manfre from Ustica. Do you have any information on the Manfre?

Sorry this has taken me so long to get back to you. My maternal grandmother's sister, Dora (Leonarda) Cuccia married Joe Manfre. Joe Manfre's parents were Concetta Cuccia and Pasquale Manfre. (Yes, Dora's mother in law was also her aunt - Dora's father's sister). Dora married her first cousin. Dora and Joe's parents were all born in Sicily - the Cuccia side is from Baucina, Sicily. I assume that the Manfre's are also from Baucina. I hope this helps. You can email me directly: Franfan1@aol.com
