Don't know your cuccia directly, but are you looking for the cuccia line from Mezzojuso, Sicily?

I'm not sure where their origin was but I do know that my grandfather did live in sicily. Any information would be greatly appreciated. his name was Joseph and he married Georgina Chula although I don't have that date or where she was from. They came to the U.S. and ultimately setteled in Los Angeles.

Iconio Cuccia was born in Contessa Entellina (Italy) on the 18th December 1841. His parents were Antonino Cuccia (from Contessa Entellina) and Rosaria (or, maybe, Rosalia) Viviano (from Sambuca di Sicilia). He had, at least, two brothers, Luca (my grandfather's grandfather) and Rosario. The name of Iconio Cuccia's wife was probably Vincenza Di Liberto.

I cannot understand what did happen. Here is the message I wanted to send:
"Hello Barbara!
This last weeks I have found some other data about Iconio Cuccia’s ascendants: his maternal grandparents were Iconio Viviano and Maria Porcaro; the source of this information is the “atto di morte” (a death registration) of Iconio’s mother, Rosaria Viviano, which died in Contessa Entellina on February the 20th 1887 at the age of 79.
Moreover, I have found that Iconio’s father, Antonino Cuccia, was born on December the 6th 1808, at 2 p.m.; his parents where Mastro [this was the title given in Sicily to an artisan, in this case to a carpenter] Luca Cuccia (the son of another Antonino Cuccia and of Elisabetta Mustacchia) and Nicolina Musacchia; the source of this information is the archive of the church of Contessa Entellina where Iconio’s father was christened.
Luca Cuccia, Iconio’s grandfather, died on January the 7th 1861 at the age of 79.
You probably already know the beautiful website of Leita Spoto about Contessa Entellina:
( http://www.gctechgroup.com/leita/lrs2.htm ); there you can find information about the siblings of Iconio and of his father Antonino.
I’d like to hear from you and to know more about your genealogical research.
