Would like to find distant relatives in USA Italy.

Hello,
From what I can surmise my family and my uncles' family are the only two families in Canada. I know that my grandfather's cousins emigrated to the USA (MA PA). I met one such long lost relative in 1999 in San Donato Val Comino, Frosinone, Lazio Italy. Except for those relatives directly related via lineage, he was the relative I met. Please email me. I'm sure my dad would like to get to know his relatives. He has only one remaining Cucchi aunt (Luigia) in Italy.

Thanks... Antonella

Hi Anthony,

My family and I were in Italy in July - August 1999 and went to the Emigrant's Dinner (La Festa degli Emigranti). I remember meeting someone named Tony Cucchi who was about my father's age (60). I think we had figured out that your father was my nonno Carmelo's cousin. If you recall meeting a young man with light brown hair in a neat ponytail (kind of an artsy type) that was my brother. I was with him when I met you at the Piazza della Vittoria.

I might have had my 16 month old daughter with me.

In any event, it's nice to hear from you. I noticed on another posting that you were there in 2001. I was there this past summer.

Hope you have a pleasant Thanksgiving.

Antonella.

My ggrandmother was Loretta Cucchi, she married Horace Francesco DeAngelis around 1904.. They were both from San Donato. Would this be the same tree?

Hi Tony,

The Cucchi's were always a small family and now they've moved from the Ponte di Tolle. I sort of remember that you told me in 1999 that you're family emigrated to the Pittsburgh or Philadelphia area originally.

I just connected with another descendant who's great-grandmother Loreta Cucchi was my great-grandfather's sister. She went to the Philadelphia area. Would you have any info to help her out? I can connect you both if necessary. Are you on Facebook? You can find me on the San Donato group sites.
