Sorry for the late reply...Pete Cuccherini (Cuchereni) was from Nocera, Italy. Any help would be appreciated as I can find NO family members who have the name as it was prior to Elis Island.

He might have had his name come from Cucciarre'.

My husband and I are looking for information on his great grandfather Pete (Peter) Cuccherini. He worked his way over from Italy sometime between 1890 and 1913 and the surname may have changed when he arrived at Ellis Island. His last known address was Gouldsboro, PA and he had one son that I know of named Daniel, born 1914. if you have any information, please email me at scuccherini@aol.com.
